Margaret Rose, LLB (Hons) UWI, L.E.C. is from Trinidad and Tobago and serves on the idilmat Advisory Board where she focuses on governance, corruption and public procurement issues.Read more... She also brings to the Advisory Board much knowledge on the capacity building needs of the Caribbean Region. Ms. Rose is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Caribbean Procurement Institute and an attorney at law, qualified to practice throughout the Commonwealth Caribbean with extensive litigation and jury trial experience. Her areas of expertise include criminal, anti-corruption, governance and procurement law. Ms. Rose advises public and private sector entities in the area of public contracting risk, procurement fraud and corruption. Ms. Rose has served on several state and private sector boards and has chaired Procurement Advisory Committees and Tenders Committees. Ms. Rose is presently Vice Chairman of the local Chapter of Transparency International, the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute (TTTI) and serves on the Procurement Reform Committee. Ms. Rose also serves on the Advisory Board of the International Public Procurement Conference (IPPC) body, the Anti Corruption Committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). Ms. Rose is a former executive member of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago and the Criminal Bar Association of Trinidad and Tobago and Director on the Board of the Caribbean Association of Procurement Professionals (CAPP). Ms. Rose serves as visiting faculty at the Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto Canada in its day Public Procurement Law Certificate Programme.
