Muzong Kodi
Muzong Kodi is from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He brings to the idilmat Capacity Development Network more than thirty years of experience in training, research and consultancy in governance, anti-corruption and human rights. His experience also includes capacity building of civil society organisations in Africa and the rest of the developing world for international organisations, including Amnesty International and Transparency International. He regularly speaks at international conferences and seminars, and delivers training workshops around the world in both French and English.
He is currently based in London and works as an independent consultant. His recent clients include the African Union Commission, the European Commission, the Department for International Development (DFID) of the UK, GTZ, the U4 Anti-corruption Resource Centre, the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), and the Open Society of Southern Africa (OSISA). He is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Diamond Development Initiative International (DDII), and member of the Boards of Directors of the Electoral Institute of Southern Africa (EISA) and the African Institute for Governing with Integrity. He is also an Associate Fellow in the Africa Programme of Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) where he coordinates the Congo Forum.
He previously taught at the University of Lubumbashi and the University of Nairobi. He also worked for a number of international and regional organisations, including the African Centre for Monetary Studies (as Director of Publications), Amnesty International (as Director for International Development) and Transparency International (as Director for Africa and the Middle East). Muzong holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, USA.
