Mario de Hove

Mario de Hove Mario Dehove is an economist, and honorary magistrate of the French Court of Accounts (the French Supreme Audit institution). He brings to the idilmat Capacity Development Network vast experience on the role of a Supreme Audit Institution, and its role in accommodating Public Finance Management (PFM) reform efforts.

He has designed macro-economic as well as finance and banking models as an advisor to the french government. At the Court of Accounts, he developed a specific expertise in decentralization, evaluation techniques for performance measurement and public policy evaluation. He contributed actively in the development of techniques for controlling the new programmatic structure of the budget, following the french reforms.

He holds a post graduate diploma in Physics and Sociology from Ecole Centrale de Paris, bringing analytical rigor to complex issues. He has been advising the government on international economic issues and European integration.

As an associate professor, he delivers a series of lectures to Paris Dauphine University on Public Policy and Public Finance Management. He has authored a number of books and several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
