Jean Mazurelle
Jean Mazurelle, a French national, brings to the idilmat Capacity Development network 33 years of extensive knowledge and experience of international development in developing and post-conflict countries in West and East Africa, Maghreb, and South and East Asia.
From 2006 – 1009 he was the Director of Development Assistance in Finance and Management of the Louis Berger Group – a US based consulting firm with more than 5000 employees. Before that Mazurelle spent 20 years of his professional career with the World Bank – of which 10 years as manager. He developed extensive knowledge of technical and strategic development issues and their economic, social, financial and institutional aspects.
His strengths and areas of expertise include: risks evaluation, projects and programs restructuring, design of programmatic approaches, multi-sectoral team leadership, implementation of complex infrastructure operations, collaboration with International Companies, policy advice on public/private governance, financial and procurement experience.
Jean Mazurelle has led assignments in numerous countries among which are Abidjan, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic and Mauritania.
Mr. Mazurelle has obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Law and Administrative Science and his PhD in Law and Sociology. He had also followed executive training in financial management at Harvard University.
