Edward Harris
Edward Harris, from the USA, has over a decade of experience as a development professional and journalist for The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press, mostly in Africa. Harris was the bureau chief for the Associated Press between 2006-2009 and between the AP and The Wall Street Journal, he held postings in Dakar, Senegal, Singapore, Stockholm, Sweden, Brussels and New York. Now a Brussels-based consultant on African affairs, he has also participated in journalism training exercises through a DFiD-funded program aimed at boosting the capacity of Nigerian journalists to cover the country’s small and medium-sized business sector.
Mr. Harris holds a BA in Governance with a focus on political philosophy from Connecticut College. He also engaged in an exchange programme with the School for International Training in Durban, South Africa.
